About Department

INTRODUCTION

Electronics department has been started in 1987. Prof. Tiwari joined as Lecturer in the department. He left the college in the year 1988. Dr. A. R. Khobragade and Dr. S. J. Sharma joined the college in the year 1988. From 1990 to 2003 the department was allotted various major and minor research projects by UGC and was duly completed. For the first two year the students were offered Electronics, Computer Science, and Physics group at degree level. From 1990 to 2007 students were ask to offer Physics, Electronics and Maths subject. From 2007 onwards another group consisting of Electronics, Computer Science and Maths was also made available to the student.

Dr. Sharma joined as Reader and Head Department of Electronics and Computer Science R. T. M. Nagpur University Nagpur. Mr. R. K. Parate appointed as Asst. Prof. in place of Dr. S.J.Sharma on 23rd April 2012. Dr. A.R. Khobragade retired from his service due to superannuation of age on 30th June 2023. Mr. R. K. Parate has been awarded with Ph. D. degree in ELECTRONICS on dated 07th July 2022. Presently Dr. R. K Parate serving in the department with capacity of Assistant Professor and Head of Department. NEP 2020 has been started in the subject of Electronics from academic year 2024-25.

Design of experimental units, power supply units, hobby kits, mobile app development are the best practices of the department. After successful completing graduation many students has been placed in government sectors. Many students has been completed their post graduation course. Also students can do their carrier in space science, wireless communication, IoT and embedded system, Mechatronics and Robotics, Automation, Biomedical Instrumentation, VLSI, Signal Processing, Programming, Power Electronics, Control and Instrumentation and many more.
