ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

In the year 1971, the Department of Chemistry came into existence where the UG course was adopted under the able guidance of Dr. M. N. Ghoshal. The PG course in Chemistry was started in the year 2003 under the headship of Dr. S. S. Dhondge. In 2012, the Department achieved new heights as it was Recognized for Higher Learning Research Centre of Chemistry by RTMNU Nagpur.In Department of Chemistry, SKPC, our objective is to teach Chemistry in an integrative and holistic manner via connecting the subject with other branches of science. As our department is a recognized place for higher learning, it further helps us to integrate teaching and interdisciplinary research. One of the major goals of the Department of Chemistry is to disseminate the up-to-date knowledge about the subject by utilizing the latest teaching tools.
