The Department of Marathi established in 1965 with the establishment of College.

VISION

Seth Kesarimal Porwal College, Kamptee was established in the year 1965, under the auspices of Shikshan Prasarak Mandal, Kamptee to cater to the educational needs of the economically backward, socially deprived and diverse minority population of Kamptee town and the surrounding villages which were not having adequate avenues for higher education and self development.Thus the vision of the institute is:
1. Education for all
2. Education as a means of elimination of poverty.
3. Education as means of social inclusiveness and communal harmony

HISTORY


In 1966 Dr. B. A. bahandakkar was appointed as full time Lecturar & HOD in seth kesrimal Porwal college kamptee. He is known as Testful critics in Marathi literature. He also had a hand in the administration. That is why he took charge as the principle of the college in 1992. And by implementing various scheme in the college, he created an ideal of what an excellent administrator should be. He was retired in 2003.Next appointment in Marathi Department was Dr.Aruna Deshmukh she was join 2001. He was also a fan of Ideological Literature in Marathi literature .she had written from a feminist perspective throughout her life. She was died in 2015.Dr..B.A. Bhandakkar was an appear the supervisor in his period. Next HOD Dr.Aruna Deshmukh was Ph.D supervisor At the present HOD has Dr. Mahesh B. jogi. The department under the Baner of Bhasha Abhyas Mandal has been conducted various program in Marathi the last 5 year. Marathi bhasha Gourav Divas, Marathi Bhasha Sanvardhan Pandharwada, Kavyatri Bahinabai Choudhari Punytithi etc.
